Thanksgiving ... we have so much to be thankful for, families, friends, food, warm cozy homes, freedom to believe in the Almighty, freedom of choices. In Valley Home we are especially blessed with a wonderful community and a beautiful place to call home! This year I am reminded that it is important not to take our time here for granted. Count your blessings each and every day! I am grateful for having my husband Richard love me and take care of me for 47 years. Although we miss him almost unbearably every day, we are a grateful family. For all of you who have had sorrow in any form touch your lives, may God bring peace, comfort and thankfulness to your hearts this Thanksgiving day. For those of you who were blessed to grow up in Valley Home, your childhood must hold many treasured memories. For our Valley Home youngsters growing up now in this special place, life is full of adventures, best friends and happy times. For the young and not so young, lots to be grateful for.

Our community is protected by highly trained and dedicated fire fighters, always right there when we need them. Our law enforcement guarantees us a safe place to live. They are highly skilled and willing to put their lives on the line for us every day. We are grateful! In Valley Home we are blessed with a delightful General Store with well stocked shelves, always ready to meet our needs. Our Valley Home School prides itself on making sure our students have the very best education. The doors are open and welcoming at our Valley Home churches. For all these things we are grateful. With sports being such an important part of our lives in Valley Home, Knights Ferry and Oakdale, we are grateful for those wonderful coaches who mentor, build character and teach our youngsters. May each of your Thanksgivings be filled with family and a grateful heart!
