With all these beautiful fall colors around us we know that Thanksgiving can’t be far off. It’s so easy to get caught up in thinking about what we don’t have, the reality is there are so many blessings all around us, sometimes we just have to reach out for them! For the first time in almost six months I made biscuits and gravy for my family this past Sunday ... I am so thankful for those in my life ... Thankful for each and every one of you! Hopefully you enjoy the changing of the seasons. Soon Thanksgiving and then right around the corner will be Christmas! Now that I have mentioned Christmas and how quickly it too will be here, I can let you know the date has been set for our Valley Home Old Fashioned Community Christmas. Saturday December 17th, we will meet in downtown Valley Home for our lighted Christmas parade, carols, and tree lighting in the park and our delicious community Christmas potluck. It’s not too early to mark your calendar for this special evening in Valley Home!

At last week’s Valley Home Parent Club meeting, plans were made to have boxes out for donations of gently used clothing. With winter coming someone could probably use those coats, etc. that your family can no longer use. Please be sure to drop off whatever you no longer use! It will be so much appreciated.

It was great to see a very special Valley Home gentleman at the Oakdale High School freshman football game. Mr. Russ Carpenter came out to show his support for the Ponies and enjoyed his time back at the Corral!
