Autumn is definitely here, trees are starting to turn those beautiful fall colors, and there is a nip in the night air at our Thursday/Friday night football games! What a lovely time of year!

Valley Home is bustling with activity as our school gets ready for our Fall Harvest Festival on Saturday October 15th! This year the Harvest Festival Sweet Shoppe will offer delicious Portuguese sweet bread made especially for the Fall Harvest Festival by Mrs. Mattos, what a special treat! The sweet bread will be available for $5.00 while it lasts. We offer a huge thank you to Mrs. Mattos for her generosity and hard work. Silent auction will be well stocked with wonderful items. Come browse, bring your family and friends and have a great time shopping for Christmas gifts while supporting Valley Home School. There will be pie eating contests, milk drinking challenge, scarecrow contest, pumpkin carving and pumpkin decorating contest. The giant pumpkin contest will be sure to excite everyone, so be sure to bring that huge home grown pumpkin. A beautiful fall pumpkin patch will welcome everyone in to choose their favorite pumpkin for Halloween. Delicious harvest food will be served all evening, hot tri-tip and linguica sandwiches, nachos, hot dog, and chili dogs are just a few of the delightful dinner offerings for the evening! Fire, CHP, Sheriff, along with military personnel will all help make our evening very special. Games and a fun hay ride through old haunted western town will thrill those who dare to ride! The hay ride will welcome riders from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Zombies will once again roam the forsaken trails to the badlands. Mylar balloons, cake walk, and bingo will also highlight the night. Please mark your calendar and come have dinner and lots of fun under a beautiful full harvest moon!
