Our Valley Home students are excited as August 31st approaches. On Monday August 31st the students will visit the school library and the PTC scholastic book faire! Each year the Parent Teacher Club sponsors the book faire under the leadership of Michelle McKenzie and her dedicated crew! Our students are able to purchase terrific reading material perfectly suited for their age group. Special thanks to all those who work so hard to make this event happen for our students.

Last week I asked you to mark your calendars for our upcoming Valley Home Community Park dinner. Our drive thru dinner fundraiser will be held on September 16th at our Valley Home Community Park! Dinners include BBQ ribs, marinated chicken, cowboy beans, garden salad, toasty roll, and delicious peach cobbler. Donation is $11.00 per dinner. Pre-ordered dinners will be available for pickup after school at 2:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 16th at the park. We ask that dinners are pre-ordered and prepaid to allow an accurate dinner count and a successful fundraiser for our park! For more information, please call Winnie at 985-5233. Remember our park is owned by each of us! All proceeds from the dinner will go toward our park maintenance (PG&E, Insurance, Taxes, etc.) We have no outside help (county or state) so by each one of us purchasing a couple of dinners we will ensure our park will be maintained and continue to be the heart of our community for years to come!
