Valley Home News 11-07-14

More excitement in Valley Home this past week! Our Valley Home students were thrilled to receive treats from our Fire Department, our CHP, and our Sheriff’s Department. The kids left school at 11:30 a.m. and paraded past the General Store where the store owner Susan handed out treats to all! Several staff and family members also made sure those trick or treat bags were full. Students wore costumes of many different characters! As they rounded the corner just past Susan’s General Store, you could hear shrieks of delight as they spotted the big red fire truck. Firefighters Jeremy Albright, Tony Hein, and Joel McGaffee handed out treats and high fives to the long line of happy students. Next was on to get a treat from Deputy Adam Stovall and K-9 Officer Gage. The kids were allowed to pet Gage and visit with him, it was a wonderful time for all! With teachers leading the way the students spotted the cool black and white CHP cars up ahead. CHP Officers Tom Olsen and Brandon Everett greeted students with waves, laughter, and tons of candy. Following the parade was school custodian Mr. Cary Taylor, making sure all was safe. Students ended their school day with class parties. A very special thank you to all who made this day so spectacular. It truly was a great day in Valley Home!
