A shout out to our Knights Ferry friends, Mary Sue and Lee Shearer. Mary Sue and Lee were among the many folks who years ago worked to support and keep our great Fire Department! Thank you Lee and Mary Sue for your longtime community involvement and your support for both the Knights Ferry and Valley Home communities. You both are very much appreciated. We are thankful for the quick response of our amazing, well trained fire department, when the Shearer’s needed them. Special thank you to our first responders!

Our Valley Home basketball teams were all awesome in their games against Shiloh this past Friday. Great job Valley Home Hawks! Next game will be March 8th.

The excitement is building as Brooke Bryhni and Brandon Gaither count down the days to their upcoming wedding. We are so happy for these two amazing young people!

Nancy and Earl Fife welcomed their first calf of the year, a handsome bull calf.

We end our column remembering our young Oakdale cowboy, Cody Sorensen. Cody’s Celebration of Life will be this Friday, at 11:00 a.m. at the Oakdale Rodeo Grounds.
