Rogers Scholars Honored For Achievements

Working parents, immigrants and first-generation college students are among the members of the 30th class of Mary Stuart Rogers Scholars honored during a virtual ceremony. Since 1991, more than 600 Stan State students have been honored with scholarships that range from $1,000 to $3,000. In total, the Rogers Scholars program has awarded more than $3.2 million to students at Stan State for achievements inside and outside the classroom.

 

HSI Grant To Establish Food Safety Concentration

Stanislaus State has received a $275,000 three-year grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to establish a new undergraduate concentration in food safety – a vital need in the Central Valley’s agricultural industries. Stanislaus State is among 21 universities to receive a National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSI) Education Grant for the University’s Career Ready - Ag Food Safety (CRAFS) program, which will facilitate the planning and implementation of a food safety program as a curriculum concentration.

 

Community Equity Research Center

Stanislaus State’s Community Equity Research Center (CERC) announced its first faculty and graduate fellows cohort for the 2021-2022 academic year. CERC is proud to help faculty and students as they engage in participatory action research that will support and inform efforts to replace prevailing patterns of inequitable conditions and outcomes in Central Valley communities.
