The following is a listing of some of the local calls for service involving the Modesto Fire Department, which staffs Stations 27 and 28 in Oakdale; and the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, covering the Riverbank area.
Calls were logged during the time period of Tuesday, Dec. 29 through Monday, Jan. 4. Days not listed had no reports of significant incidents in this area.
MONDAY, JAN. 4

Battalion Chief 1 and Battalion Chief 5 attended the command staff meeting.
SUNDAY, JAN. 3
6:56 p.m. – Engine 27, Engine 28 and Battalion Chief 5 responded to a motor vehicle accident on Patterson Road. Engine 27 arrived to find a single vehicle off the roadway and began to investigate for injuries. One subject was evacuated on scene for injuries with CHP investigating.
SATURDAY, JAN. 2
4:01 p.m. – No address listed: Engine 28 and Battalion Chief 5 responded to a medical aid for a subject in cardiac arrest. Engine 28 arrived to find a subject in full arrest and began PIT Crew CPR utilizing the Lucas device. The subject regained pulses and was transported to a local emergency room.
5:07 p.m. – Engine 27 and Engine 29 responded to a reported tractor on fire in the 7400 block of Emery Road. Engine 27 arrived to find a tractor with engine compartment fire (extinguished) and began to investigate. Engine 27 confirmed the fire was fully extinguished and went available.
THURSDAY, DEC. 31
5:59 a.m. – Modesto Engine 27, 28, 29 and Battalion 5 responded to Highway 108 east of Lancaster Road for a vehicle rollover. Crews arrived on scene and found the driver with minor injuries. CHP investigating.
8:53 a.m. – Engines 26, 27, 28, and Battalion 5 responded to a vehicle accident on Langworth Road with reports of a person trapped inside a vehicle. Crews arrived to find one vehicle rolled over into an orchard; both occupants had self-extricated. One person was transported to an area hospital with moderate injuries.
TUESDAY, DEC. 29
11:10 a.m. – Modesto Engines 27, 28 and Battalion 5 responded to Orange Blossom Road and Country Oak Drive for a vehicle accident. Crews assessed the scene and found three patients with minor injuries. Ambulance coverage was thin as Oak Valley Ambulance was responding from Modesto. PHI Med 41 air ambulance was also enroute but was cancelled when Oak Valley arrived at the scene.
