Several pets at the Oakdale Animal Shelter have been going to out of state rescues so there have not been as many adoptable dogs as they have had in the past. The Oakdale Shelter Pet Alliance may have pets available for adoption at the Petco on Saturday, Feb. 3 from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.; however, whether or not they get adopted prior to the event, volunteers will have pet vouchers on hand at Petco. If you can’t afford to fix your pet and want to prevent unplanned litters of kittens and puppies, the Oakdale Shelter Pet Alliance offers spay/neuter vouchers for cats and dogs to pet owners residing in the 95367 or 95361 zip code areas.
