A Friday night accident left one woman with major injuries and saw traffic along a bus stretch of North Yosemite shut down for a brief time while traffic was detoured around the scene. Oakdale Police reported that an SUV and bicyclist collided on Yosemite Avenue at East E Street Friday night, May 8 resulting in the bicyclist, a 29-year-old Oakdale woman, being medi-flighted to Memorial Hospital in Modesto. That portion of Yosemite Avenue serves as Highway 120 for travelers and is just a block north of the main Yosemite Avenue-F Street intersection in the center of town.
