Knights Ferry School has received $3,129.84 so far this year from Save Mart SHARES card and $310.47 from Raley’s card. Such an easy way to earn needed money for the school!

Will Haskell-Kelly was visited by his Aunt Pat Kelly Peron from Denver, Colorado. She spent six days in the Ferry with Will and family. While here she took Will on two days of skiing at Bear Valley. This is the first time in many years that they have gotten together and Will had a blast with his aunt!

The American Civil War Association will hold their Civil War Days in the Ferry March 19th and 20th. Battle times are Saturday, 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and Sunday at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The camps will be open for viewing and the participants will be living in the Civil War time frame. This is living history!

At the Knights Ferry Community Club meeting, President Linda reminded all that dues are due, $30 per family. Tickets are on sale for the Spaghetti Dinner to be held March 19th after the last battle of the day at 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Adults are $7.00 and 10 and under are $4.00. There will be a band from Sacramento, the 5th California Volunteer Regiment Infantry Band, playing period music. There will also be a raffle with many good prizes. Also discussed at the meeting was a dusk- to- dawn light in the Plaza. All thought it was a good idea. New officers for the year are: Linda Morris- President, Gail McKinley- Vice President, Kim Whittey- Secretary and Lisa Dolling- Treasurer.

Laura Simons thanks all for their thoughts and prayers. She is doing great and back to her regular activities.

Bev and Randy Noe and daughter Bonnie Witzke, son-in-law John and granddaughters Makena, Aubrey and Taylor, had a fun filled week at Disneyland.

The River’s Edge will be open for business March 13th at 7:00 a.m. Ben and Linda Cassinetto have redone the insides with a small stage for live performances.

Carol Davis enjoyed shopping in Walnut Creek while visiting her son Bruce and his family. Granddaughter Shawn Davis has moved back to the area from Arizona and Carol got to see her new apartment.
