Knights Ferry was busy last weekend! Saturday night was the annual Dinner and Auction fundraiser supporting Knights Ferry School hosted by the Parent Teacher Club. The event was well attended and captured the true nature of Knights Ferry School. It was in the Community Club with casual attire with awesome silent and live auction items! They had desserts donated by each class that were auctioned off including a caramel apple toffee cake donated by Lauren Tran and a death by chocolate cake donated by Cheryl Ozbirn. The live auction items were very creative and included a self-care kit put together by the fifth graders. It was full of relaxing items and a deck of affirmation relaxation cards written by the fifth graders. The kindergarteners compiled an heirloom cookbook and a custom tailgater BBQ. The dinner was catered by Mike’s Branding Iron and the food was delicious! I would like to recognize Lacy Feichter and Danitra Higgins and many working hands who put this event together. Great job everyone!

On Sunday morning, the Odd Fellows pancake breakfast was busy and full of happy customers and the Knights Ferry Museum was open upstairs from the Creamery. Ocean and Forest Ingram were selling Girl Scout cookies on the Odd Fellows patio and many of us stocked up on our stash of cookies!

The Civil War Reenactments are coming to town on March 25th and March 26th! The Civil War reenactors are coming back to town and I am excited to have them! Come out and enjoy the reenactments but remember there are very low cannons and gun shots that may not be suitable for animals or people with noise sensitivity. I suggest ear plugs or headphones to help with the noise. See you on the battlefield!
The Knights Ferry Community Club’s annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be served from 5pm-8pm on Saturday, March 25th at the Clubhouse. Tickets are $10 a ticket and will include the meal, dessert, and beverage.
