At the meeting of the History and Museum Associates they announced the heat and air is in and working in the Museum. The front deck railing is in bad shape and will be closed until repairs are done. Plans for the annual Peddler’s Faire are underway for April.

Former Knights Ferry resident Merna Jergentz was enjoying lunch at the River’s Edge. Patti Mack brought her there for a late celebration of her birth.

The Knights Ferry School kindergarteners made bread and churned butter under the direction of Barb Burroughs the other day. They also learned how to take the kernels out of the wheat. It was a great hands on learning experience.

Welcome to Knights Ferry School as a new employee Amiee Ryan. She is working part time as a 4-hour paraprofessional.

At the meeting of the Knights Ferry School Board the second grade class of Lisa Fogerty showed the board what they have been learning about coding their DASH robots. Students participating were Julian Arias, Tristan Voortman, Nicholas Gonzalez, Morgan Western, Nathaly Ramirez, Samantha Blanc, Naya Morua and Weston Sundberg. The students paired up with the board members and showed them what their robots could do and how they work. The board also began planning for the future on reserves and technology. They approved the Board Policies, Audit Report and bids for Network Infrastructure upgrade. The board and staff approved the agreement with KFTA for the next two years.

The Knights Ferry Parent/Teacher Club will have their annual Dinner, Silent-Live Auction on March 18th in the clubhouse. This year’s theme is “Denim and Diamonds.” The auction committee is collecting donations.
