Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Knights Ferry has had a lot of wonderful memories and much to be thankful for including well attended gatherings and events such as the Pumpkin Roll, successful businesses coming to town such as the Knights Ferry Art Studio, and even a few new families moving to town! I also would like to remember a few people we have lost this year including Ben Cassinetto, Jim Boyer, and Sharon Page.

I would like to give a special shout out to the ladies in the Post Office! It is a tough job to care for all the packages and additional mail funneling through our local Post Office.

Jason and I took the dogs for a walk downtown and to the river park last week. Even on a weekend, the town was peaceful with little to no traffic and the river park was free of litter with nothing but the sounds of the river flowing and a family enjoying a picnic lunch. It is weekends like this that make Knights Ferry one of the best places to live!

Be sure to turn on the Rose Parade on New Year’s Day! Fred and Lisa Dolling are working on this year’s Odd Fellows and Rebekah floats down in Pasadena with other Odd Fellows and Rebekahs. The Rose Parade is on January 1st at 8am. Fred Dolling is serving as the Grand Master of the Odd Fellows of California and will be riding on the float. Keep an eye out for our local celebrity!
