Delta Drama, at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, continues exploring the new world of digital theater with a virtual production of “Rogues’ Gallery,” a collection of nine bizarre, explosive, and darkly humorous stories from Pulitzer Prize-winning author John Patrick Shanley.
The performance will stream online Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 26, 27 and 28. Free tickets are available at deltadrama.com. Choose a date and you will have 24 hours to view the production.
A collection of monologues featuring nine magnetic characters, “Rogues’ Gallery” delves into the allure of bad behavior and the absurdity of being human. The production is written explicitly for an online platform.
The production contains adult material and adult language, and is recommended for ages 14 and up.
The Delta production staff includes: Director Casey McClellan; Assistant Director Asia Barakat; Costume and Design, Jonathan Singer; Lighting and Projection Design, Kevin Bautch; Sound Design, Casey McClellan.
Included in the cast are Mark Becerra, Michael Gonzalez, Alexandra Loreth, Kayla McConnell, Marcus Richard, Mike Sicari, Imri M. Tate, Tyler Vernon and Mitchell Worrell-Olson.
The drama is produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service Inc.
The Delta Drama Program believes in the importance of providing to the college community a Drama curriculum that develops knowledge, skills and competencies necessary for transfer to the upper division level as well as fulfilling AA Degree general education requirements.
The Drama Program provides a rigorous, disciplined, and integrated curriculum designed to meet the vocational demands of the theatre profession. The college also offers scholarships to new students who qualify.
The Actor Training program is a two-year course of study in which students who have successfully auditioned can concentrate their efforts in rigorous acting classes three times a week in the first year and five times a week in the second year, while also studying stagecraft in separate technical classes.
