Oakdale Business Center Open To Offer Assistance

The Oakdale Business Center (OBC), a center with resources for entrepreneurs to launch their start-up or grow their business, is open and ready for you. The OBC is a joint investment by the City of Oakdale, Oakdale Chamber of Commerce and the SBA’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC).The OBC is located 142 S. Second Ave., in Oakdale.

The OBC provides low cost and convenient access to office space, experienced consultants and educational seminars to help make your business ideas become reality.

Kurt Clark, Director of the SBDC, said, “Oakdale needs a quality business center to support growth in businesses and jobs. We have been working for over a year with the city and chamber to have this facility become a reality.”

The SBDC is part of the Stanislaus Economic Development and Workforce Alliance, and is a member of the UC Merced Regional SBDC Network, in cooperation with the US Small Business Administration (SBA). Their mission is to assist entrepreneurs and business owners through free business counseling and research as well as low cost training:

• Whether a start-up business or an established company, they provide planning, counseling and resources in all areas of operating a business.

• Expert help is available through one-on-one sessions, workshops and seminars, their extensive website resources, and professional research support.
