The Modesto Junior College Department of Music presents the Symphonic Band in Concert on Monday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the Main Auditorium on East Campus, 435 College Ave., Modesto. The event is open to the public and admission is free, with donations gratefully accepted.

Director of Bands Erik Maki will conduct the ensemble as they perform a wide variety of music for modern wind band. The program includes Canzonetta by Elliot Del Borgo; Rush and Alleluia by Samuel R. Hazo; A Jubilant Overture by Alfred Reed, and The Legend of Alcobaca by James Sochinski. The event is free, with donations gratefully accepted.
