Christopher Ribeiro and Ashley Blom were united as husband and wife on Aug. 21, 2010.
The couple wed at the Santa Barbara Mission. A reception of family and friends followed at La Cumbre Country Club in Hope Ranch.
The bride is the daughter of David and Gina Blom and DeLayne Blom. She is a 2003 alum of Oakdale High School. She earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology from University of Santa Barbara in 2007. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has plans to eventually have her own practice, specializing in clinical assessments.
The bride’s dress was custom designed of silk, lace and tulle. She carried a bouquet of cream, ivory and champagne colored roses, accented with a hint of honeysuckle. In keeping with bridal tradition she carried her mother’s handkerchief (old), wore new jewelry and had a wedding rosary borrowed from a bridesmaid.
The groom is the son of Anthony and Jeannie Ribeiro. He is a 1996 alum of Central Catholic High School. He earned his Bachelors Degree in Finance and Masters in Business Administration from California State University, Stanislaus. He is currently employed as a Cost Analyst for Santa Barbara County.
The wedding party consisted of five bridesmaids, five groomsmen, three flower girls and one ring bearer.
The couple honeymooned in Hawaii. They currently reside in Ventura County.
