Big Valley Grace Offers Christmas Program

A special holiday offering, ‘Behold the Lamb of God’ is planned at Big Valley Grace Community Church later this month.

This is not your traditional Christmas music. It’s a concert that reminds us that the story doesn’t begin with the birth of Jesus. The entire Bible is about Jesus. So the music begins with Moses and the symbolic story of the Passover and works its way through the kings and the prophets — with their many prophecies about the coming Messiah — to the 400 years of silence before God told Mary she’d be having a baby.

Then it moves the story of Mary and Joseph and the birth of Jesus.

‘Behold the Lamb of God’ travels through Scripture and everything is woven together to point out eloquently that all history leads to Christ’s coming. It’s a musical journey that will leave you in awe.

Performances are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 19 at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 20 at 8:45 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Big Valley Grace Community Church is at 4040 Tully Road, Modesto, a half-mile north of Standiford Avenue.

There is no cost to attend.
