Oakdale Bests Central Catholic In The Pool

Friday afternoon, Oakdale High School hosted Central Catholic in a Valley Oak League swim meet. The event was held at Oakdale High School’s Aquatic Center. In the meet the girls won 107-45 and the boys earned a convincing 121-39 win over the Raiders.

Bre Campbell, Ashlynn See, Kayla Peterson and Jensen Perry took first place in the 200 yard medley relay. Emma Nelson took first place in the 200 yard freestyle event with a time of 2:41.76. Morgan Dietrich placed first in the 100 yard butterfly event with a time of 1:13.49. See set a school record in the 500 yard freestyle event with a time of 5:33.03. Her speedy time surpassed Summer Thompson’s 5:33.38 2013 record.

“This was a goal of mine this season, I wanted to compete at a high level and today I accomplished a major goal,” said See.

See, Haley Rivera, Neesa Deleon and Marissa Raggio took first in the 400 yard freestyle relay at 4:14.35.

Kassidy Houck, Bethany Metcalfe, Jensen Perry and Charlotte Liekhus placed first in the 200 yard freestyle at 1:49.75. Hayley Rivera earned a first place finish in the 100 yard breaststroke at 1:13.78.

Ethan Perry, Aron Cameron, Stash Perry and Chandler Neal took first place in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:48.32. The foursome also took first in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:36.17. Cameron also took first in the 200 yard freestyle event with a time of 2:03.16. Matthew Van Dyke took first in the 200 yard IM event at 2:30.90. Ethan Perry placed first in the 50 yard freestyle event at 23.79. Stash Perry took first place in the 100 yard butterfly event 1:00.48. David Terwilliger placed first in the 100 yard freestyle event at 57.42. Lucas Hardy placed first in the 500 yard freestyle event at 6:35.73. Tyler Gross took first place honors in the 100 yard backstroke event at 1:13.78. Gross, Kyle McIntosh, Lucas Hardy and Terwilliger finished first in the 400 yard freestyle relay at 4:02.17. Chandler Neal placed first in the 100 yard breaststroke event at 1:05.65.
