Gators Find Success At Turlock Invitational Meet

The Oakdale Swim Team, known as the Gators, hit the road for a weekend meet at Pitman High School. The meet took place on Saturday, June 16 where teams participated in the Turlock Invitational. Here are some of the top finishers for Oakdale; names are spelled as provided by coaches.

 

FEMALE 8 AND UNDER

Jaalah Richison placed fifth in the 50 yard freestyle event.

 

MALE 8 AND UNDER

Thomas Keeler placed first in the 25 yard freestyle and also took second in the 25 yard backstroke and third in the 50 yard freestyle. Archer Sanders took second in the 25 yard butterfly and fourth in both the 25 yard freestyle and 25 yard backstroke.

 

FEMALE 9-10

Samantha Blanc took fourth place in the 50 yard backstroke event. Olivia Boggan placed fourth in the 50 yard butterfly. Alexis Dudley swam in three events and placed in the top five in each: third in the 50 yard butterfly and fourth in both the 50 yard freestyle and 100 yard butterfly. Jenna O’Neal placed fifth in the 50 yard breaststroke. Gianna Padilla placed fifth in 50 yard freestyle.

 

MALE 9-10

Moses Boizo took fourth place in the 50 yard butterfly event. Owen Reynolds finished third in the 50 yard freestyle. Jaxzen Pope placed second in three events, the 100 yard freestyle and the 100 IM. Pope also placed third in the 50 yard backstroke event. Pablo Verduzco placed fifth in the 50 yard backstroke. Joseph Yakligian placed fifth in the 50 yard backstroke event. Samuel Shrader placed fifth in the 50 yard butterfly.

 

FEMALE 11-12

Savanna Luepke placed fifth in the 100 yard freestyle. Kylee Keeler swam in a handful of events and she took first in three of those, winning the 50 yard freestyle, 50 yard butterfly and 100 yard freestyle. Keeler took second in both the 100 IM and the 50 yard breaststroke. Izzy Salzer competed in six events. Salzer placed third in three of them, the I00 IM, 50 yard butterfly and the 100 yard freestyle. She also took fourth in the 50 yard breaststroke and fifth in both the 50 yard freestyle and 50 yard backstroke.

 

MALE 11-12

Tyler Mercer swam in six events and placed in the top five in each of them. In three of those events he claimed second, in the 100 IM, 50 backstroke and 50 yard freestyle. He also took fourth in the 50 yard breaststroke and fifth in both the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events. Jakob Dudley placed fourth in the 50 yard butterfly. Julian Padilla placed fifth in the 50 yard freestyle event.

 

FEMALE 13 AND OVER

Jordyn Pope swam in multiple events and finished fourth in the 100 IM and the 100 yard breaststroke. She also placed fifth in the 100 yard backstroke. Micaiah Richison placed third in the 100 IM. She also placed fifth in both the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events.

 

MALE 13 AND OVER

Jackson Hammond swam in five events and placed in the top five in all of them. Hammond placed third in a trio of events, the 50 yard freestyle, the 100 yard backstroke and the 100 yard freestyle. He also placed fourth in both the 100 IM and the 100 yard breaststroke. Douglas Shrader competed in four events and placed fourth in both the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events and placed fifth in both the 100 IM and the 100 yard breaststroke. Trenton Stanton placed second in the 100 yard backstroke and placed third in both the 100 IM and the 100 yard breaststroke.

 

The Gators return to action on Saturday, July 14 at Tracy.
