With the help of the Oakdale High School varsity and junior varsity girls softball teams and coaches, the Oakdale Baseball Softball Association (OBSA) held a clinic for their youth softball players on Saturday, March 12. Oakdale High School usually hosts the clinic on their varsity softball field; however the nearly 200 players made their way to the school’s main and small gyms due to weather. The intermittent rainfall and tough field conditions prompted the moving of the clinic to inside for the day.

Oakdale’s youth softball players were under the guidance of the varsity and junior varsity staff to help them prepare for their upcoming season. The girls worked on pitching techniques, along with endurance, fielding and hitting. T-ballers also showed up and worked with the junior varsity staff. OBSA season begins on Saturday, March 19 with opening ceremonies beginning at 9 a.m. at T.L. Davis Sports Complex.
