Several San Joaquin County Parks will remain closed this week as damage assessments and clean-up continues following the recent storms, park officials have announced.
Micke Grove Regional Park and Micke Grove Zoo have sustained significant damage since New Year’s Eve and will remain closed through Monday, Jan. 23, 2023. Dos Reis Regional Park and campground will remain closed through Friday, Jan. 20, 2023. Both parks will be reassessed as conditions improve.
Westgate Landing Regional Park and campground, Stillman Magee Regional Park and campground and Woodbridge Wilderness Area will remain closed until further evaluations are completed. There is no estimated opening date at this time.
Oak Grove and Mossdale Crossing regional parks are open, but may have limited access as clean-up continues. Guests are asked to be cautious when visiting all area parks as storm debris, fallen tree limbs and standing water may still be present. Additionally, as a result of heavy rains and saturated grounds, guests are advised not to enter any restricted areas, paths or roadways that shows signs of damage.
