Dear Editor,

We would like to compliment our local police department for the great work they do in their daily service to the City of Oakdale. However, if you are a concerned citizen in your neighborhood who reports suspicious activity you might not get the results you are looking for. What about your rights – you ask? Well, more often than not the bad guys have more rights than you. Unfortunately, we have become a society that is so worried about who we are going to “offend” that the motto “To Serve And Protect” has no merit for the law-abiding citizen.
