William Walter Hauselmann, 83, died peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 23.
He was born to Walter and Martha Hauselmann and raised in Bandini near Montebello in Los Angeles County.
While he was in the Navy, he met and married his beloved “schatzi” Marian Waeny on Aug. 27, 1949 after a two-and-a-half year courtship.
When Mr. Hauselmann was discharged from the Navy, he worked on his father-in-law’s dairy in Downey before moving his family to Oakdale in 1958. He worked on the Blue Star family ranch for many years until it was sold.
He enjoyed cabinetry. He and his sons formed a family cabinet business. He was very gifted at wood carving, making model trains, and drawing.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marian; sons, Rick (Dawna) Hauselmann, Michael Hauselmann, all of Oakdale; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Craig Hauselmann.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 2 at the Oakdale Memorial Chapel. Private interment.
