Roger H. Beymer
Beymer

Jun. 24, 1937 – Oct. 29, 2014

Roger H. Beymer was born in Welcome, MN.  His family migrated to Oakdale in 1945.

Roger earned an AA Degree in electrical engineering and machine shop from Modesto Junior College.  He was recruited by National Cash Register for extended training for a position as Business Machine Serviceman.  Roger later worked as a maintenance engineer at Hersey, where he developed many lasting friendships.

Roger pursued a wide range of hobbies including photography.  He found great solace in studying man’s relationship with the land through photography.

Roger’s life was altered by a motor cycle accident in 1977. Though the pain from his injuries were an influence, he continued to actively engage in life.

Roger was a fun loving soul.  He loved to recruit friends into playing practical jokes on others.  He was always quick to pick up a conversation and was very thoughtful of others.

Roger died October 29, 2014 after an extended illness.  Roger is survived by his daughter Diana Gillis and his son David Beymer.   He will have a special place in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services will be held at the Riverbank Memorial Chapel on Nov. 5th at 11am.
