Mark Andrew Blake, 58, passed away on May 8, 2023, in Vacaville, California. He was born on October 28, 1964, in La Mesa, California, to Donna Blake and Teddy Blake. Mark was the fourth of six children, including Randy, Tim, Dan, Mark, Leah, and Margaret.
From a young age, Mark loved to fish and could often be found down by the creek. His passion for fishing continued into his adult years and became a regular hobby. He also enjoyed archery, arrow making, hunting squirrels, flying gas planes and cooking frog legs.
Mark was a Union Carpenter who worked on high-rise buildings. He later discovered a talent for painting, which he turned into another profession. Mark was married at the young age of 19 to Susan Harris and soon after started a family with two daughters, Melissa Loren Blake and Melanie Andrea Blake. Mark was a proud man especially of his Blake bloodline and Native American background, which he tried to pass down to his daughters.
Everyone who knew Mark knew that he had a great sense of humor. He was a funny man who could always make others laugh. Mark will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but they take comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain.
Mark is survived by his daughters, Melissa and Melanie; his parents Donna and Tedd Blake; and his siblings Tim, Dan, Leah, and Margaret. He was preceded in death by his oldest brother Randy Blake.
A private family service will be held to honor Mark’s life, June 17 at 11 a.m. at Jacob Myers Park in Riverbank, CA.
Rest in peace, Mark. Your memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.
Revelation 21:4 – “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
