Lindsay Kelly Peabody, 53, died Tuesday, March 6.

As soon as she was born, her family called her ‘Cacha.’ She attended Oakdale schools, graduating in 1976. She was a resident of Oakdale for 46 years.

She was the family jester, mascot, artist and most of all, musician. All of her talents were genetically gifted. She was not only an accomplished guitarist but also a singer – she could personalize a song about a person on the spot. She gave to her family personal poems in an amazing calligraphy style.

Ms. Peabody was a great cook and cowgirl with a quick smile and a devilish wink. She was a beam of sunshine throughout her life.

Along with the beautiful talents came ugly genetic addictions that eventually took her under. She fought back, struggled, relapsed over and over. As time went by, she was just too frail to fight once more. Through the good times and the bad, she was a loveable daughter, sister, and aunt to a large extended family.

She is survived by her father, Richard; mother, Mickey; brother, Rick; sister, Celeste; and brother-in-law, Bob.

Per her wishes, there will be no services.

Remembrances may be made in her memory to Hutton House, c/o Center for Human Services, 1700 McHenry Village Way, Suite 11, Modesto, CA 95350.
