John ‘Pete’ Delello, Sr., 86, died Friday, April 15 at his Oakdale home.
He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a resident of Oakdale for the past two years.
Mr. Delello served 21 years in the U.S. Navy. He served with the U.S. Fleet Marine Force during World War II in the South Pacific. He also served two tours of duty in Korea aboard the U.S.S. Haven.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Patricia of Oakdale; daughter, Karen; sons, John Jr., Douglas, and Clay, all of California; sisters, Mary Adair and Betty Lane, both of Indianapolis, IN; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren, all of California.
