Frances Colleen ‘Frankie’ (Langford) Sherrick, 73, died Thursday, June 30 in Brookings, Oregon.
She was born in Oakdale to Sam and Mary Langford. She went to local schools and graduated from Oakdale High School in 1955.
She married Charles Sherrick in 1956 and began raising her family in Oakdale before moving to Modesto.
Mrs. Sherrick worked for Proctor & Gamble in Modesto.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling in their motor home. She and her husband recently moved to Oregon to be near her family.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; daughters, Cynthia (George) Wentz Hanson of Crescent City, Cathy (Shane) Switzer of Gold Hill, Ore.; sons, Eddy (Cheri) Sherrick of Modesto, Cal (Michelle) Sherrick of Crescent City; sister, Cor-Rita Rogers of Modesto; eight grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Sam Langford; sister, Betty Nielson; father-in-law, Edward Sherrick; brother-in-law, David Sherrick; and son-in-law, Kip Wentz.
Private services were held in Crescent City.
