Fidela T. Valverde, 52, died Sunday, June 17 after a battle with cancer.

Ms. Valverde was handicapped most of her life; her mother was her caregiver. She had a great heart and will be missed.

She is survived by her mother, Eva Valverde; sisters, Vencey (Bill) Erb, Connie (Danny) Rich, Florence (Ed) Trapp; brothers, David Valverde, Felix (Denise) Valverde, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews and their children.

She was preceded in death by her father, Felix Valverde; sister, Martha Haywood; and her grandparents.

A rosary will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 21 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1225 Olive St., Oakdale. Burial will be at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery, 701 East J St.
