Doyle Wayne Shatswell, 79, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 18 at Riverbank Nursing Center.

He was born in Cameron, Oklahoma. He attended Oakdale schools. He lived in Oakdale approximately 60 years.

Mr. Shatswell was a veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by his brothers, Lloyd, Bill, Farrell, Cecil, Ken, and Danny Shatswell; and stepson, Curtis Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Shatswell; father, Lester; mother, Lois; and brother, Reamis.

Visitation was held May 24 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. A funeral and burial will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25 at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella.
