Don W. Breshears, 66, of Pearcy, Arkansas, died on Saturday, May 7.

He was a former resident of Oakdale.

He was born in Hot Springs, AR to Jewel and Margaret Breshears.

He was a retired Postal employee, a member of the mail handlers union, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, where he received two Purple Hearts, a life member of the VFW Post #2278 and the Order of Purple Hearts.

He is survived by his wife, Emma Breshears of Pearcy, AR; sons, Donnie (Tina) Breshears of Hot Springs, AR, Dan (Stacy) Breshears of Bismarck, AR, Scott (Chasity) Breshears of Nashville, TN; brothers, Gary Breshears of Hot Springs, AR, Johnny Breshears of California; sisters, Shirley Murders of Hot Springs, AR, Sondra Anglin of California, Carolyn Jenkins of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Cameron, Zac, Gabrielle, Cora Helen, Nate and Nicholas Breshears; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Jerry, Ronnie and Ricky Breshears.

Visitation was May 10 at Hot Springs Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11 in the Hot Springs Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerry Stewart. Pallbearers will be Eric Burgett, Cameron Breshears, Zac Breshears, Jody Murders, Chuck Watson and David Barrett. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Terry Blackstock and Dr. Fred Divers.

Burial will be in Crabtree cemetery with full military honors by the VFW Post 2278 Honor Guard.
