Angela Van Ruiten-Estrada passed away on June 6, 2023, at the age of 45 in Metaline Falls, WA. Angie was born on September 2, 1977 in Modesto, CA to Gerry and Toni Ann Van Ruiten. She attended Oakdale High and was a graduate of the University of the Pacific. In her youth Angie was an active member of Orange Blossom 4-H. She showed beef heifers, horses and rabbits.
After college, Angie spent 15 years as a teacher in the Sylvan School District. She loved working with her students and fellow staff members. She was a true friend, a trusted confidant, a supportive shoulder who provided so much joy and love to those who were fortunate to know and love her.
Angie is survived by her husband, Ed, his daughter Lauren, her sisters, Amy and Lisa and their spouses, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents on both sides.
Donations can be made to Community Hospice (PO Box 2215, Spokane WA 99210), Huntington’s Disease Foundation, or Helping Hands (P.O. Box 970, Oakdale CA 95361). A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Oakdale on Wednesday, August 9 at 11a.m.
