Residents from throughout the region are being encouraged to attend a community meeting in Oakdale on Thursday, Oct. 5.
The Safer From Wildfires Community Meeting runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., and will feature an opportunity to hear from experts on how wildfire preparedness can potentially help with your insurance. It will also include some information on how to stay fire safe.
The meeting will be hosted at the Bianchi Community Center, 110 S. Second Ave., Oakdale.
Among the local officials due to attend are California Assemblyman Heath Flora and Oakdale Mayor Cherilyn Bairos, along with local insurance agents and officials with the California Insurance Commissioners’ Office. The meeting is being hosted in partnership with the California Department of Insurance, the City of Oakdale and the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce.
