It’s Fair Week! I am sure for many of you this week brings back many happy memories. This year our young people, our older people, and all ages in between will be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of our Stanislaus County Fair from July 7 through July 16. 4-Hers, FFA students, and Grange have been working very hard, raising and caring for their animals for several months. If you have the time please go by the barns and visit these hard-working kids! They definitely deserve a pat on the back. I am hearing that the rides at the Fair are fantastic this year. Expensive … but fantastic! There is tons of delicious food and frosty cold drinks all throughout the fair. Be sure to go by the gardens and exhibit buildings … So many great things to see. Each night there will be concerts on stage at the fair. During the run of the fair there will be Truck Tractor Pulls, Rodeo, Motor Cross, Monster Trucks, Demolition Derby, and so much more (a separate price applies to these events); there really is something for everybody!

Fair week is a special week, please remember how hard our young people work to bring the very best animals to the fair. Please consider supporting our Grange, our 4-H, and our FFA students if you can! Remember, our young people count on us to support them and encourage them. Hope to see you there!

The Fair Livestock Auction will be held Saturday, July 15. Swine will sell at 8 am; Poultry, Rabbits, Meat Goats, and Sheep will sell at 9 am; Champion Swine will sell at 10 am; and Champion Meat Goats and Sheep will sell at noon. Please be sure to call the Fair for more exact times, especially if you would like to support an exhibitor of Beef, Dairy or breeding projects, please call for show times and sales times; I do not have these times.
