This week we share the loss of a very special woman. Marilyn Heath was a former teacher at Valley Home School. She was an amazing woman. Marilyn was born on July 17, 1948 and passed away on May 11, 2023. A celebration of life was held on May 31 for Marilyn.

She was a devoted and dedicated teacher to each of her students. Over the years her ability to teach her students was an inspiration to all! She knew how to teach her students so that they understood and really comprehended what she taught them. Her students learned so much from her. In the words of Amanda (Jones) Atkins: “She helped build my love of music. She also taught me how to play the piano. I was so excited the first time I saw her perform on stage, she was an inspiration to me! I know my life was blessed by knowing her.”

This amazing woman, whose students loved her so much, also taught them what it meant to be strong and to be determined! Valley Home will forever love and appreciate this great woman, Marilyn Heath. For those of you that would like to pay your respects, Marilyn is laid to rest at Citizens Cemetery in Oakdale. Rest in heavenly peace, our very special Valley Home teacher.
