Hi everyone. I hope you are all ready for the warm weather. The beautiful sunshine makes for pretty flowers and also grows wonderful irrigated clover pastures for our Valley Home kids to run about in, along with the animals.

This week we would like to say “Thank You” to each of you who purchased spaghetti dinner tickets for our park fundraiser. Dinner is this Friday night, May 10 and each of the dinners purchased will bring us closer to taking care of our pump/well situation at the park. Each of you are making a big difference. We are grateful to the wonderful donations that have come to support the ‘Heart’ of our community, our Valley Home Community Park. We send a huge thank you to our Stanislaus County Supervisor Buck Condit for always being here for us. We deeply appreciate The Stockton Firefighters Benevolent Organization; your generous donation will definitely help greatly with our pump/well. We send a special thank you to Mrs. Barbara Norgard for her support, in honor of her grandparents, George and Hattie Cooper. George and Hattie lived many years ago near where the park is now … Barbara was just 16 years old then. Thank you to each of these very caring donors; your generosity is very, very much appreciated in Valley Home.

This past Friday our fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth graders enjoyed their last school dance of the year. There was delicious pizza for all, it was such fun and everyone had a great time. Thank you to all who made this dance possible for our students.

This weekend is the Oakdale High School Prom; oh, what beautiful memories this weekend will bring. Young people dressing up so very special, going to a favorite restaurant, sweet moments under a starry sky … oh to be young again. God bless our precious young people, let them be safe and enjoy this very special weekend.
