Please keep our precious Valley Home boy, Tyler Cooley in your prayers! Tyler and several members of his family had flown to Florida to go on a Disney Cruise, when he became very ill. Tyler was taken by air ambulance off the ship to a hospital in Cape Canaveral. He was then transferred to a hospital with a higher level of care, Children’s Hospital in Orlando. Tyler has had surgery and is facing a long road to recovery, but he is an amazing young man and will fight hard to recover. Tyler is an eighth grader at Valley Home School and is a dedicated youth member of River Oak Grace Church. Tyler’s family deeply appreciates all your prayers and good thoughts!

Update: It’s Sunday and as I am writing this, I received word that Tyler is doing better and may be able to come back to California mid-week. Keep praying everyone!

Last week I wrote about a hero, Collin French, who is a very talented young golfer and fisherman! Please keep Collin in your prayers as he bravely fights his illness on the road to recovery. Collin was able to come home last week from the hospital. How wonderful for this very special family to be home together! Please join us in supporting them on May 1st. There will be a great dinner and silent auction and other activities with all proceeds going to the French family. The event will be held at the Oakdale Golf and Country Club. For tickets contact, Robbie Fouts at (209) 614-8366 or Nicole Vejar at (209) 872-1629. The French family is an amazing family who have done so much for our community. Thank you Adam and Kim!

This past Friday I had the opportunity to visit with a truly remarkable lady, Laura Burghardt. Laura is welcoming friends at the care home where she is currently. It was a quick visit, but it was wonderful to see both Laura and her husband Glenn. Laura would love visits from friends. Please feel free to call or email me for Laura’s address.
