Cost Less Market ... What a spectacular trip it is from Valley Home to go grocery shopping. Taking the time to appreciate this trip is something that I have learned to make a priority. Where else can you drive five minutes to go grocery shopping and pass almond orchards with beautiful blossoms, go past Bushwacker’s home, watch cattle and horses grazing on lush green pastures, then at the edge of town and right before shopping, pass over the most spectacular bridge! Crossing this beautiful gateway bridge offers you a moment to reflect. Many thousands use this strong and steady passage to the Mother Lode, the view from the top of the bridge down to the peaceful waters of the Stanislaus River is stunning. In the short moment it takes to actually cross the bridge, the view below can be one of the most peaceful and most appreciated parts of the day. How very fortunate we are, that to do our grocery shopping we must take this spectacular drive. What a beautiful place to live!

Ending this week’s column is a salute to two very special Valley Home women. This week we salute two beautiful talented sisters ... Amanda and Kristy Monschein. This delightful pair has contributed much to their Valley Home community, and both are very successful young ladies! The girls are former Valley Home School students, our family has very special memories of these two sisters. Karen and Mike Monschein are the very proud parents of Kristy and Amanda. A wonderful and caring family indeed!
