Valley Home News
Valley Home

A heartfelt message to a very special Valley Home family, the Smith Family Tammie, Ronnie, Lainey, and Halley. Our deepest sympathy on the loss of Tammie’s stepfather Bill Bossard. Tammie’s mom Judy and Bill were always big supporters of all Valley Home events. Whether it was a church event, a community or school event for granddaughters Halley and Lainey, Bill and Judy were always happy to support all. Bill was a very caring man and will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him.

With our Stanislaus County Fair in full swing this week our 4-Hers and FFA students have been busy. They are a remarkable group of young kids, it’s amazing to see how hard they work! They are up by dawn, down to the fair, and then take care of their fair animals usually in tremendous heat. It has been an extremely hot fair with the kids showing their strong work ethic, their animals always come first with fresh water and shade being a must! I have so much admiration for the dedicated youngsters. This Saturday the 4-Hers and FFA students will sell the animals they have loved and taken care of for the last few months. Please consider these hard working kids at this Saturday’s auction. The kids greatly appreciate your support and all purchases through your business are tax deductible. Please remember your donation/purchase will be used by many towards their college fund, school books, supplies and is always so very much appreciated. It’s always sad to see a young person who has worked so hard enter the sale ring and not have a buyer in the crowd. These animals are cream of the crop, they are fed the very best feed, are loved and well cared for by our FFA and 4-Hers! Whether your support is $100, $500, or even $1000 your donation/purchase will make a tremendous impact in these young people’s lives. Free fair passes are available to all potential buyers and a very special appreciation lunch is served to all buyers during the sale. You may call the fair livestock office at 209-632-2557, AG advisors at Oakdale High 209-847-3007, 4-H Office at 209-525-6826 for more information on how to support 4-H and FFA students on sale day or you may call me, Winnie, at 209-985-5233 and I will get information to you before Saturday. The fair is located on 900 N. Broadway in Turlock. By supporting these dedicated kids you are helping them build character and a strong lifelong belief in themselves. We hope each of you who are able will consider supporting our 4-Hers and FFA students!
