A special “Thank You” to all who came out for our Old-Fashioned Lighted Valley Home Christmas Parade. It was such a special night. The lighted entries were wonderful! Standing on the sidelines, it was such a joy to hear all the ooohhhs and aaahhhs the beautiful entries passed by.

Our Grand Marshals Loretta and Gary Steele were bundled up against the freezing night air; even though it was very, very cold they enjoyed the night very much! Our Grand Marshals lit our beautiful little Valley Home Community Christmas Tree with cheers from a delighted crowd. It was a very special night in Valley Home.

Hayven Smith and Holly Benkula led the singing of two Christmas carols and Hayven is already working on the carols for next year. We are very thankful for the young men who built the stable, the manger and the inn; it was beautiful and so serene. Mary and Joseph, better known as Alexis and Wade, kneeled beside Baby Jesus in the straw covered stable, as all the children came and sat together in front of the manger. Nancy Osmundson read the story of the birth of Baby Jesus; it was definitely a special night. We are thankful for all who brought the delicious and such beautiful cookies for Bonnie’s Cookie Exchange; Bonnie’s love of sharing was definitely remembered. Christina Barretto set up a special table with memories to share of Bonnie and the night was truly magical. Steaming hot coffee and delicious hot cocoa warmed all of us up, just as it started to snow! The ‘snow’ was beautiful coming down; the children and us adults, too, had a wonderful time.

What a grand sight it was to see snow in Valley Home.

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas; God Bless You All!
