Congratulations to our Oakdale High School FFA Judging team! Team members are Kimber Tavares, Tavin Barry, Gracie Verdegaal, Blake Morgan and Dalton Breazeale. The team has spent countless hours getting ready and their efforts paid off at the National FFA Convention when they were named Reserve Champion Livestock Judging Team. Congratulations on this huge honor!

Our Valley Home Harvest Festival was a huge success. A very special thank you to our Oakdale Rural/Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, our Stanislaus County Sheriff Department K-9 unit and Stanislaus County Sheriff Helicopter and crew! It was a most memorable evening. Sheriff-elect Jeff Dirkse and wife Sandi also stopped by to spend this special evening with us in Valley Home.

We would like to send out a huge “Thank You” to each and every one of you who helped make this such a special evening. We are so grateful to our Oakdale High School student helpers. Without all of you this evening would not be possible. Thank you to our Valley Home community for your support of our school. It is very much appreciated!

So, on a beautiful fall evening, under a full harvest moon, folks gathered once again in Valley Home, I stepped back for just a moment and the sights and sounds of this special evening warmed my heart.
