Another fun filled teen meet and greet is scheduled later this month at the new local business, Mavericks Ice at 1190 E. F St., Oakdale. Open for those from ages 12 to 17, the event is being co-hosted by Mayor Cherilyn Bairos and Mavericks Ice. As a special incentive, the first 20 teens at the event, scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 28, will receive a free mini snow ball. The gathering kicks off at 5 p.m.

The goal of this latest Teen Meet and Greet is to provide a safe space to make a new friend and meet other teens in common age groups. Besides the flavored snow balls that are available to purchase, cookies and bottled water will also be provided. There are no sign ups, just show up and meet new friends.
