‘State Of The County’ Address Postponed

Out of respect for the public health crisis facing the community with the spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19, the guidance encouraging social distancing and other public health directives, Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors Chairwoman Kristin Olsen has postponed the State of the County Address. She was originally scheduled to present the address at the Tuesday, March 17 Board of Supervisors meeting in Modesto, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

“I am grateful for the efforts of our leaders, including our local Public Health Officer and her team, who are working hard to protect the community we serve. I look forward to delivering my State of the County Address in the coming weeks, at a date to be announced later,” said Olsen.

On Friday, March 13, the President of the United States declared a National Emergency, which follows California Governor Newsom’s declaration earlier this week.
