In keeping with an Oakdale Elementary School tradition, Sierra View Elementary hosted its annual Ag Day earlier this month. Roughly 20 presenters from the industry shared teachings and information with the Sierra View student body.

“The highlight for us was having Ag Day back,” event coordinator, Kim Bianchi shared. “We have not had Ag Day since 2019.

Presenters included representatives from the Almond Board, Sierra 4-H Club, Yaya Apiaries, the Mid Valley Cowbelles and numerous others.

“We had beautiful weather and students were able to not only see their scheduled presentations, but had time to roam around with their classes and see other presenters as well,” Bianchi said.

The presenters were also treated to a lunch prepared by Sandi Casey and served by the Sierra View PTC.

“The day was wonderful and we can’t wait for Ag Day next year,” Bianchi added.
