After a few months of construction and renovation, the official Grand Opening of the new Ross Dress for Less store in Oakdale is scheduled for Saturday, July 18 at 9 a.m.

The store is at 1449 E. F St., Suite 102, in the Foothill Oaks Shopping Center.

Special music by the Oakdale Concert Band will begin at 8 a.m., continuing until the ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled at 8:45 a.m., with the doors to the store opening at 9 a.m.

This event is open to the public; Ross will be hosting the ceremony and Oakdale Mayor Cherilyn Bairos along with a number of other city representatives have been invited to attend.

Ross will also be providing a sizable donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Stanislaus County, which will be bringing kids in for a shopping spree.

Construction has been occurring over the course of the past few months, with Ross going in at the former Rite Aid location in the shopping center. Officials added that all Ross Associates that will staff the new store have been training in current Ross locations as they prepare for the grand opening in Oakdale.
