Oakdale Summer Learning Camp
class

Now on the schedule, the Oakdale 2020 Summer Learning Camp is for children from Oakdale entering fifth, sixth and seventh grades in Fall 2020. It is designed to provide the students with tools to master the grade level skills in academics – emphasis on Mathematics and English.

Learning will be online from Monday, July 13 through Friday, July 17. Hosting the camp is Dr. Viji K. Sundar, Executive Director and President of the Dr. Sundar Math Center, Inc.

For more information about the summer learning camp, call 209-918-2469 or go online to register at SundarInstitute.org. Class is limited to 16 students. Tuition is free.

The purpose of the Oakdale Learning Camp is to bridge the learning gap for the participants and prepare them to start the school year with competence and confidence. Zoom Remote Instruction Learning will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, July 13 through 17.

The Oakdale Learning Camp will provide the students instruction via Zoom tutoring to bring them up to grade level after the lengthy absence from school due to COVID and the summer break. The students will learn in small groups of three to five children per instructor. The virtual hands-on learning, uncovering the concepts and algorithms, and doing word problems will enhance their reasoning skills and inspire learning.
