Oakdale-Riverbank Fire Calls 3-17-21

The following is a listing of some of the local calls for service involving the Modesto Fire Department, which staffs Stations 27 and 28 in Oakdale; and the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, covering the Riverbank area.

Calls were logged during the time period of Tuesday, March 9 through Monday, March 15. Days not listed had no reports of significant incidents in this area.

 

MONDAY, MARCH 15

Modesto Fire Department crews performed weekly detailed maintenance on all fire apparatus.

 

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10

Modesto Fire Department engineer practical test was completed. Outside agency raters from three local fire departments helped us over two days. Modesto would like to thank Turlock FD, Stanislaus FPD, and the Ceres FD for helping make the test run smoothly.

Mountain Valley EMS provided equipment and scenario based training to Modesto Fire Paramedics. This group is also going to be training with our new hire academy class at the end of the week.

 

TUESDAY, MARCH 9

Modesto Fire Department conducted an engineer practical test.

2:17 p.m. – Firefighters responded for a report of a working structure fire on the 300 block of Hinkley Avenue in Oakdale. Crews arrived to find an exterior fire that had been extinguished by the homeowner. Crews checked the residence for fire extension and found none. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
