Curves International, Inc., one of the largest chains of fitness centers for women in the world, is hosting its 2016 Curves Food Drive through Saturday, March 26 at participating Curves centers across the U.S. and Canada, including the local site in Oakdale.

Curves is inviting both non-members and members to take part in the Food Drive by bringing in a bag of non-perishable food or a monetary contribution of at least $30 to be donated to a local community food bank. All new members who make a food or monetary donation will receive a $0 enrollment fee when joining selected Curves locations.

“We are excited to take part in the Curves Food Drive this year as it brings the community together to feed the needs of our local food banks while bringing women together in their health and wellness,” said Colleen O’Connell of Curves of Oakdale. “This year, donations will benefit Oakdale Community Sharing Christian Center.”

Now in its 18th year, the Curves Food Drive has gathered and donated millions of pounds of food over the years to benefit local community food banks. Curves members have participated in unique ways including friendly in-club competitions and other unique events.
